Subject: Nostradamus' Prediction of Doom
First the old boy said the King of Death or whoever it was would rain
ruin and havoc on us in July 1999.  It didn't happen.  Then Nosty's
apologists said that he really meant September, since September was the
seventh month when he was alive, yadda yadda yadda.

Well, here we are in October.  So what's next from the Nostradamus
crowd?

And, hey, while we're at it, also R.I.P. is Jeane Dixon's prediction
that a man born on February 5, 1962 and who wears a blue turban would
start World War III last summer.

This <011019990022530225%thirt...@frXOXed.net>-ing article from Brad Ferguson on Fri, 01 Oct 1999 00:22:53 -0400 has warped my fragile little mind:
: First the old boy said the King of Death or whoever it was would rain
: ruin and havoc on us in July 1999.  It didn't happen.  Then Nosty's
: apologists said that he really meant September, since September was the

: Well, here we are in October.  So what's next from the Nostradamus

Hockey season starts tonight.

: And, hey, while we're at it, also R.I.P. is Jeane Dixon's prediction
: that a man born on February 5, 1962 and who wears a blue turban would
: start World War III last summer.

Let's see... check IMDB....

FWIW, Mother Shipton had a spotless record (and "England shall at last
admit a foe" was fudged to mean the Hess Mission), until 1981 rolled
around and then 1982...

No doubt they'll claim he meant the Julian calendar, just like they
did in August.

When that's proven wrong (eleven days from now), they'll claim
something happened in July that fulfilled the prophecy, but the
effects won't be known for years.

See, what happened was that something DID happen in July that fulfilled
the prophecy, but the effects won't be known for years.

Nosty predicts that between November and December this year the "Military"
will launch a deadly biological war. Whose Military is up for question.
Also he predicted a plague will spread at the beginning of the new
millennium carried from Africa by the tiniest of creatures. Could this be
the mosquito's spreading Encephalitis?

If you pay attention to Revelations, the sixth seal could have possibly
been opened. One seal to go.

A pretty good joke from Mr. Hubbard. But it only works if it's not an Orthodox
Rabbi!!
